Flexibility and mobility is how well joints move through their normal range of motion. Actions like bend, twist, and reach can be performed without restrictions which means a healthy body.
Good flexibility and mobility helps individuals with simple daily activities. For athletes, it improves balance and significantly cuts down injury risk because tight muscles and stiff joints cause injuries to happen.
There are various options for improving flexibility. When warming up, dynamic stretches use active movements that help joints through full ranges of motions. Static stretching usually done after workouts involves holding a stretch for 15-45 seconds to release tension in muscles.
Stretch 2–3 days per week minimum. However, unlike building strength, stretching should feel like gentle tension, never sharp pain because pain means pushing too hard and causing unnecessary injuries.
